Tran Thi Hoang Lan не получала специального художественного образования, ее никто не обучал технике работы с песком. Однажды, отдыхая в городе Phan Thiet, девушка просто таки влюбилась в красоту прибрежных песков. Взяв немного песка трех разных цветов, она загорелась идеей выложить из него изображение в прозрачной цветочной вазе.
